January... Time for New Beginnings
Hello Adventurers! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season . January is a time for new beginnings. And what better place is there than Miami Beach to take some downtime and reflect on life and the future? Right now, as I glance out the window at another beautiful, sunny 70-degree day , I am reminded of how blessed I am to have easy access to the beach, where I can listen to the ocean waves and get grounded with meditation as I prepare for a busy week .

If you are not lucky enough to live in our little corner of paradise , Dharma can provide you with a much-needed weekend retreat at their Monte Carlo property to start 2022 right . The first thing to do after checking in is to check out one of the two pools at the property. The first pool is right across from the ocean on the ground floor, and the other is on the fifth floor and gives you a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. On the way to the pool, there is a gym and recreation room. If you find you need to soak those muscles after a workout, the fifth-floor pool also has a hot tub.

If you are itching to explore , you can take a stroll on the beautiful walking/biking path that runs between the building and the beach that is perfect for morning or evening walks. Take a slight turn and you are at the ocean; a perfect place for relaxation and decompression.

For those who are craving exercise for the body and soul, right down the street is Nobe Yoga , a yoga and massage studio that also has a vegan cafe that serves juices, smoothies, and bowls to set you off on a healthy journey for the year.

If you crave more movement than just soaking up the sun , there are many activities available around North Beach for you to take advantage of. There is a Citibike rental station on 67th and Collins, where you can rent a bicycle by the hour and take your own personal tour of Miami Beach . Bike down to 76th Street and stop at TKS Miami Watersports, where you can rent a kite, paddle, or surfboard and play in the waves. For dinner, you can go to one of the many upscale restaurants along Collins, or stop at Publix and pick up groceries, so you can cook in Dharma’s fully equipped kitchen. Once your appetite has been satisfied , you can walk or take the free trolley down to North Beach Bandshell , where there are concerts and cultural events several times a week. Escape the winter weather and come back relaxed, refreshed and ready to take on 2022!
